ATOS on quantum technologies

Atos, a leading player and recognized leader in quantum computing

Atos is an international leader in digital transformation with more than 110,000 employees in 73 countries and annual revenues over €11 billion. It is also a leading provider of quantum computing services.

In November 2016, the group launched an ambitious program to anticipate the future of quantum computing and prepare for connected risks and opportunities.

The Atos Quantum Learning Machine - the most powerful quantum simulator in the world.

In this context, Atos has developed the Atos Quantum Learning Machine, the most powerful quantum simulator in the world.

Up to now, the company has installed Quantum Learning Machines in some of the world's most prestigious research centres and universities in Austria, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and the United States.

By supporting large companies such as Total, public players such as the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), or large laboratories such as Argonne in the United States, they are stimulating major research programs in many fields.

In an effort to democratise access to quantum simulation, Atos also provides researchers, students and developers with a free environment to develop and simulate quantum programs on its own workstation, called MyQLM.

A recognised European leader

To support our activities of research, we rely on a first-rate Scientific Council, which brings together world-class physicists and mathematicians, among which a Nobel Prize in Physics and a Fields Medallist.

The excellence of our teams has enabled us to make great steps: for example, we were the first to provide quantum noise emulation to our customers.

This is why we have been chosen by the European Commission for the "Quantum Flagship" initiative, which is part of the European H2020 programme. Atos will bring its expertise in two key areas of study in quantum research: quantum computing and quantum simulation.

On the Saclay Plateau, Atos co-finances, jointly with the ANR, the NASNIQ Industrial Chair (New Nuclear Spin Architecture for Quantum Information) of Daniel Estève (CEA/SPEC).
