The Lumen, at the heart of the campus

The Learning Center, at the center of the campus on the Moulon plateau, will open on the 18th September. We propose spaces, services, and collections to study, innovate, and share knowledge. The Lumen's very flexible  opening hours permit us to welcome everyone interested in our services, collections, and events calendar.

 

Opening Hours

  • From September 19th to September 29th, the Lumen will be open from Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Starting from October 2nd, the Lumen will be open from Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Services and collections

The Lumen offers a wide range of services to the academic community :
Millions of books, articles and academic journals printed or digital, covering all the fields of activity of the Moulon plateau.
•    Mathematics, physics, and chemistry;
•    Engineering and IT;
•    Humanities, especially economy and management;
•    Life, Earth, Universal, and Health Sciences.
These collections come from CentraleSupélec, École Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay, and Université Paris-Saclay.
 
Work spaces whether collaborative, educational or individual ;
support for student life: workshops, loans of board games, dedicated services, etc.;
a recording studio for easy design of educational videos, material loan (videos, podcasts, reports, etc.), and training;
a material library;
a catering offer ;
wifi, printers, and lockers to secure your computer equipment, etc.

Cultural and scientific agenda

The Lumen offers various cultural and scientific programs throughout the academic year. It also provides multiple spaces that can be reserved to contribute to the educational, associative, scientific, and cultural life of the University:

  • a modular auditorium with 140 seats for conferences, debates, shows, projections, round tables, cocktails, etc.;
  • the Forum, located at the entrance of the building, is suitable for exhibitions, stands, and artistic performances;
  • the Boxes, modular rooms for 16 to 64 people, particularly suited to educational innovation thanks to digital equipment designed for hybrid or co-modal work;
  • an open space of 250 m², that can be adapted for round tables, seminars, workshops, etc.
