Objectives

The aim of the master 2 in Biotherapy Tissular Cellular and Genic (BTCG) is to provide students from different initial training with solid foundations in fundamental research but also to offer varied openings to the professional world of Health. This master offers through two specialties (research or professional) skills applicable to the field of biotherapies, which covers gene therapies, cell therapies, immunotherapy and innovative pharmacotherapies

  • Cite and evaluate specific tools and animal models used in biotherapies.

  • Overall organisation

    Semester 1

    Students choose between two specialties: research or professional. The common basis has 10 European credits (ECTS) and each subspeciality 20 ECTS. Lectures are in English except Industry and corporate life and Clinical research in biotherapies in French.

    Semester 2

    •A 6–months training takes place in academic laboratories or biotechnology, pharmarceutical companies located on site or abroad, in Europe, North America, .. It gives right to 30 ECTS

    Career prospects

    - Biotechnology, research and development in industry, academic research, scientific communication and popularisation, medicine, pharmacy, veterinary medicine.
    - Research positions and clinical applications in the medical and surgical fields, positions in the pharmaceutical and veterinary fields that relate to the development and evaluation of biotherapy protocols.
    - Positions related to medicine in the pharmaceutical industry, French or European health agencies, biotechnology industries.
    - Senior executive positions in industry, biotechnology companies, regulatory agencies, research organisations

    Course Prerequisites

    Master 1 level or equivalent with basics in cellular and molecular biology

    Post-graduate profile

    After this Master's programme, successful students may either pursue a PhD or follow a professional career in research and development in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry and acamedic laboratory. Students from the professional option often integrate an ARC (Attaché de Recherche Clinique) training course or join industry in a engineering position.
