Objectives
The 'Governance of social and environmental innovations from local to global' track is aimed at students with a good knowledge of general sociology and survey techniques. It aims to offer a specialisation towards social care professions, in particularly where there is a link with environmental issues. While social integration institutions have long had these links, it has taken on a whole new dimension with the growing awareness of the urgency of climate change. At the local level, innovative entities are implementing actions that facilitate local action on social issues, while linking them to the global challenges of environmental preservation. Without being limited to this, the course will cover work in the sociology of social action, the sociology of the environment and the sociology of social innovation. The aim is to link the critical vocation of sociology with reflection on action.
