Co-construction workshop of a Doctoral Network project (ex. ITN)

In June 2022, INanoTheRad invited you to a co-creation workshop for a Doctoral Network project (European funding for thesis grants linked to a research project). We are pleased and proud to announce that this first workshop led to the submission of FLAMINGLO with the help of INanoTheRad which supported the coordinators by providing a project manager and a network to build a consortium. Committed to our mission of facilitating collaboration within INanoTheRad and supporting project coordinators, we are renewing our Doctoral Network co-creation workshop, on March 22 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The workshop will be held in the meeting room of the Institute of Physical Chemistry (ground floor of building 349 of the Orsay campus, rue Michel Magat, Orsay). Please note, it will also be possible to participate by videoconference.

Participate to the creation of the next INanoTheRad Doctoral Network

In June 2022, we invited you to a co-creation workshop for a Doctoral Network project (European funding for thesis grants in connection with a research project). We are pleased and proud to announce that this first workshop led to the filing of FLAMINGLO with the help of INanoTheRad which put its strengths (project manager and network) at the service of the coordinators.

True to our mission of facilitating collaboration within INanoTheRad and supporting project coordinators, this year we are renewing our special Doctoral Network co-creation workshop, on March 22 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., meeting room the Institute of Physical Chemistry (ground floor of building 349 of the Orsay campus, rue Michel Magat, Orsay).

Please note, it will also be possible to participate by videoconference. Please register using this form.https://framaforms.org/atelier-de-co-creation-dun-nouveau-doctoral-network-inanotherad-1676285226

Looking forward our future collaboration

Workshop on Flash-photon effect

We are pleased to invite you to participate to the workshop devoted to the Photons Flash effect that INanoTheRad  is organizing on April 5th, from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at IJC Lab (Council conference room, ground floor of building 100, Orsay ).

Is there a Flash-Photons effect? How do we get it? Which design for accelerators? What performances? What is the added value for the treatment of cancers? As always, INanoTheRad will moderate the debates to foster the creation of collaborative projects that it could support.

The program is as follows:

  • 1:30-1:50 p.m. What do we know about the biological effects of the Flash-Photons effect? (Charles FOUILLADE, Curie)
  • 1:50-2:10 p.m. Overview of accelerators capable of generating a Flash-Photons effect (François Vander Stappen, IBA)
  • 2:10-3:00 pm What progress can be expected from the Flash-Photons effect for the treatment of cancers? (Julie COLNOT, IGR; Anthony BONFRATE, Curie; Jean-Marc FONTBONNE, LPC)
  • 3:00-3:30 p.m. Coffee break
  • 3:30-5:00 p.m. Round table with short thematic presentations by the participants.

If you are interested in this workshop, please register via https://framaforms.org/atelier-inanotherad-que-sait-on-sur-leffet-flash-photons-1664541424

Please note that if you are not able to join us at IJC Lab, you can join online via a link that will be provided soon to all participants.

Looking forward meeting you

1st International Workshop on Particle Minibeam Therapy

INanoTheRad is happy to inform you on the organisation of the 1st International Workshop on Particle Minibeam Therapy, on March 16 and 17, at Institut Cuirie, Paris, France.

Please register here: PMBT Workshop 2023 (pmbt-group.org)

Masterclass on AI, Medical Physics & Radiation Oncology

Masterclass : Artificial Intelligence, Medical Physics & Radiation Oncology

INanoTheRad is happy to collaborate and announce the 3rd edition of a cutting-edge masterclass that will take place at Gustave Roussy, Ecole des Sciences du Cancer from 12th to 15th of December 2022, with renowned speakers from the best French cancer centers (IGR, CLB), and top-notch engineering schools (University Paris-Saclay, ParisTech and Centrale Supelec).

INanoTheRad will cover the registration fees for 6 students of the consortium. The request must be made to the WP Training of INanoTheRad (charlotte.robert@universite-paris-saclay.fr and erika.porcel@universite-paris-saclay.fr, please provide a CV) before 28/10/2022

Register and learn how to practice high precision radiotherapy by combining medical imaging, AI, physics, and mathematics. Program of the third edition has been adapted to stick to the European medical physicist curriculum as proposed by EFOMP (F. Zanca et al. Physica Medica, 2021)

The lectures and practical sessions will be 100% in English, so that people from abroad can apply. Please note that the training will be held face to face at Ecole des Sciences du Cancer, Gustave Roussy (Villejuif).

Objectives of the training

  • Introducing AI vocabulary and basic concepts.
  • Identifying putative applications of AI in medical physics (medical imaging and radiotherapy)
  • Understanding mathematical basis of main algorithms used in machine learning and deep learning
  • Enforcing these tools during practical sessions on computers.

 Target audience

Medical physicists, radiation oncologists, engineers, researchers, physicists, and students in medical physics/radiation oncology/radiology/nuclear medicine.
