Launch of the 2022 “Science with and for Society” call for proposals

Science and society Article published on 18 January 2022 , Updated on 20 January 2022

Université Paris-Saclay is one of eight French institutions to have been awarded the “Science with and for Society - SAPS” label (Science avec et pour la société) from the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation. Alongside the provision of funding, the label aims to support projects and initiatives which encourage the development of new forms of dialogue between science, research and society. It also aims to strengthen local networks through partnerships between higher education and research institutions, stakeholders in science communication and outreach, organisations and local authorities.

As part of this framework, the Diagonale · Université Paris-Saclay is launching the 2022 “Science with and for Society – SAPS” call for proposals, aimed at supporting projects which foster dialogue with the scientific community and society in order to share knowledge, as well as scientific, technical and industrial understanding and encourage citizen participation.

If you do not have a project yet but you do have an idea or a suggestion for a project related to science/society, you can submit it to the ‘science/society suggestion box’ before 3 February 2022.

We encourage all projects to be developed as part of partnerships (artists, designers, associations, media libraries, museums, etc.) or to envisage developing future partnerships, with potentially the participation of PhD candidates from the University in science communication roles.
