#EUvsVirus Hackathon

Facing one of the greatest challenge of our time, the European Commission and the EU member states will connect civil society, innovators, partners and buyers across Europe to develop innovative solutions for coronavirus-related challenge. Anyone with an innovative idea, across Europe and beyond, is invited to participate in the EUvsVirus pan-European Hackathon on 24, 25, and 26 April 2020. 

You have an idea that can help people across Europe? Together we can find solutions. Let’s hack for Europe!

The hackathon is divided into 6 challenges categories: Health and Life, Business Continuity, Social & Political Cohesion, Remote Working & Education, Digital Finance, Other. Feel empowered to get creative!

60,000 participants are expected. Don’t limit yourself. Participants can be researchers, engineers, doctors, teachers, students, ICT experts, health experts, etc., or anyone that wants to contribute.

In France, there are already more than 300 participants!

Under the umbrella of our European University Alliance, EUGLOH, 4 teams from the Université Paris-Saclay participate in this pan-European hackathon:

  • EUGLOH-fablab (Health & Life Protective Equipment) led by Romain Di Vozzo, 
  • EUGLOH-A (Social and Political Cohesion: Limiting fake news Mitigating fake news spreading), EUGLOH-B (Social and Political Cohesion: Supporting Arts and Entertainment) and EUGLOH-C (Remote Working & Education : E-Learning methods & tools), all three of them led by Hervé Dole.

In that context, Hervé Dole, our Vice-President of Univ. Paris-Saclay in charge of Arts, Culture, Science and Society (Outreach), has taken the role of challenge lead for the following categories and sub-categories “Social and Political Cohesion / Others / New forms of awareness raising".
