The Management Team of the Institute for the Sciences of Light (ISL) is composed as follows:

 

 

 

 

 

The Office of the Institute for the Sciences of Light (ISL) is composed of the director, three deputy directors, four members of the ISL Steering Committee and a project manager. 

Office

  • Jean-Jacques Greffet: Director  
  • Fabienne Goldfarb: Deputy Directress of Graduate Education
  • Jean-Pierre Hermier: Deputy Director of Research
  • Catalin Miron: Deputy Director of International Relations, Communication and Valorisation 
  • Antoine Godard: Council Member
  • Gilles Clavier: Council Member
  • Nadia Belabas: Council Member
  • Céline Fiorini: Council Member
  • Nina Tyminska: Project manager 

 

Chaired by Jean-Jacques Greffet, the Institute for the Sciences of Light Council has 40 members.

  • Laboratory staff representatives (14 members) designated by the members of the laboratory councils.
  • Ex-officio members (12 members).
  • Members appointed by the committee of direction of the University of Paris-Saclay based on proposals from the representatives and ex-officio members of the board (10 members).
  • The director of the ISL and the three deputy directors (4 members).

 

The Council of the ISL:

  • Participates in the development of the university's research, innovation, training, and internationalization strategy within its scope.
  • Provides an opinion on the organization and evolution of Master's, Doctoral, joint Master's-Doctoral, and Graduate and Research Programs within its scope.
  • Provides an opinion on accreditation requests for programs and projects for new programs within its scope.
  • Participates in defining internal calls for projects within the university.
  • Establishes any commission or committee it deems necessary.
  • Defines the main directions concerning:
    • The definition of internal calls for projects within the ISL.
    • The allocation of credits to the ISL, in accordance with its missions, except for credits earmarked by the subsidy for public service or by the university's board of directors.
    • Activities related to animation and training led by the ISL.
    • The development or continuation of partnerships (national, international, socio-economic) consistent with the university's strategy.
  • Has the authority to provide an opinion within its scope on:
    • Projects for new research laboratories and structures.

    • The local implementation of support policies for faculty members and researchers.

    • Resource needs: personnel, technical platforms, etc., for external calls for projects requiring university arbitration.

  • Is informed about:
    • The appointment of unit directors within its scope.

    • The appointment of doctoral school directors within its scope.

    • The appointment of master's program coordinators within its scope.
