How can an incoming international student find an accommodation in France? What are the requirements and processes?
In order to end your rental contract, you should inform your landlord of the date of your departure by sending a letter with acknowledgement of receipt. This type of letter can only be sent from a post office, not via email. If you leave your accommodation before the end of the rental agreement, you will have to pay the rent and other fees until the end of the prior notice period (usually 1 month). This period starts from the day the letter is received. The landlord has 15 days to collect the letter.
