Information

Présentation

The “social law” specialization aims to provide students with in-depth theoretical knowledge and useful skills in the sphere of social law:

  • Ensure that individual labor relations comply with employment law
  • Provides a legal watch on employment law
  • Organizing labor relations (professional elections, collective bargaining)
  • Advise employees or employers on complex legal issues (restructuring, redundancies, working hours)

Learning outcome targets

The Social Law specialization comprises two M1s and three M2s, which together aim to equip students with the knowledge and skills required in the field of social law, with a view to taking up positions as lawyers in companies, associations or trade unions, becoming lawyers, joining a human resources department or taking certain civil service competitive exams (labor inspectorate, for example). What all these courses have in common is that they offer a specialization in labor law, which begins in M1, either as part of an apprenticeship (M1 Human Resources and Social Protection Law) or as part of initial training (M1 Labor Relations Law). Secondly, the Master 2 Droit et pratique des relations de travail (DPRT) (Law and Practice of Labor Relations) offers a different approach to labor relations, taking a more in-depth practical and theoretical look at more “original”, complex, cutting-edge and topical issues, and crossing subjects (criminal labor law; labor law and NICTs; labor law and collective proceedings). It's a combination of theoretical knowledge and professional practice.

The aim of the Master 2 in Corporate Law and Management (DME) is first and foremost to provide future jurists and lawyers, in addition to their specialization in employment law, with the theoretical and practical knowledge of management and administration they will need to better understand their future functions in the corporate world and in relation to the company and the economic world and its evolutions. The course (formerly GEMRH), by taking into account legislative and regulatory developments relating in particular to social dialogue, compliance, RGPD, etc. The context of digital transformation is also integrated into a large part of the curriculum.

The aim of the M1 and M2 Human Resources and Social Protection Law programs is to perfect students' knowledge and practice of employment law, by tackling technical issues with a high level of expertise. Students can choose to follow a specific course in labor relations or in European and international HR, in addition to the core courses common to both courses. M2 Corporate Law and Management: triple skills: labor law/business law/management.

The M2 Strategic Manager of Social Protection Organizations meets the training needs of social security executives, for which UCANSS is the supporting structure in its capacity as the federation of employers in the general social security system.
