Communication Between Participants and Organisers

Institut Pascal uses an innovative tool called 'Slack' to aid the ease and efficiency of communications between all participants and organisers during a program.

What is 'Slack'?

Slack is a cloud-based team collaboration software tool. It offers many features, including multiple private communication channels for one group, organised by topic, as well as direct messaging.

Slack enables all participants to share and discuss their slides, scientific articles/papers, and other important media. We also use Slack to inform you of group outings organised for you by the institute.

Who else uses 'Slack'?

The following other prestigious organisations and companies also use Slack as a collaboration tool:

  • NASA
  • 21st Century Fox Productions
  • RMIT University
  • The Times newspaper (UK)

and many others...

How do I install 'Slack'?

The application is very easy to install and use on either your smartphone or computer. You can install it for free by clicking here.

Please feel free to contact us if you require any assistance as we're happy to help!

How do I join my program's 'Slack' group?

After you've registered for one of our programs, and before you arrive at Institut Pascal, you will receive an emailed invitation to join your program's Slack group. We strongly encourage you to accept the digital invitation by clicking on the link in the email.
