Présentation du laboratoire

Les recherches de l'UMR BREED sont focalisées sur les mécanismes d'élaboration des phénotypes chez les mammifères d'élevage.L'objectif est d'étudier l'impact au cours des périodes de développement embryonnaire et foetal, du milieu de culture, de la nutrition maternelle, des polluants environnementaux, des systèmes d'élevage, à la fois sur la croissance, la santé et la fertilité de la descendance.Ces travaux combinent des observations et mesures sur des cellules, des embryons, des foetus et des animaux à différents âges. Ils visent une compréhension des mécanismes en jeu, par des analyses d'imagerie ou moléculaires (épigénétiques, métaboliques et transcriptomiques).Les recherches sont conduites simultanément sur plusieurs espèces (souris, lapin, ruminants) permettant une démarche de physiologie comparée. Ces travaux font également appel aux Biologie / Biotechnologies de la reproduction utilisées en élevage.
