On 11 June, the C2N of Université Paris-Saclay welcomed Prof. David Lewis, from the Flinders Institute for Nanoscale Science and Technology for a technical talk on The Engineering of Surfaces: from particles to solar cells. Prof. Lewis, who joined Flinders University in 2009 in a joint appointment with the CSIRO Future Manufacturing Flagship, as Flagship Fellow, was welcomed at the C2N by Prof. Ulf Gennser, Deputy Director of the Nanoelectronics department who presented the activities of the newly opened centre on the Saclay plateau and showed him around the facilities.Following his talk, Prof. Lewis met with representatives of the Photonic Crystals and Metamaterials group, the Novel Magnetic Devices group, CentraleSupélec (historical partner of Flinders University) and UPSaclay’s IRO to discuss possible areas of cooperation following the signing of a memorandum of understanding and a joint PhD agreement between Université Paris-Saclay and Flinders University earlier in the spring.
