The TAPIS is a student poker association created in 2010, which also offers all types of card games. Our team of volunteers aims to hold regular poker tournaments and organise themed game nights and outdoor events all year round. The association also provides a social living space: our office is located in the Maison des Paris-Sudiens (B399) and is open every day. It is a friendly place where you can learn new card games, improve your skills in games you already know how to play or simply come have a good time and have lunch while playing a card game.
The TEMPO is an association under the French law 1901 that brings together all medical students of the Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines from the 2nd to the 6th year, which corresponds to more than 600 students.
The objectives of the association are to:
- Defend the interests of medical students of the west of the Paris region with public authorities and represent them to the various councils and associations to which the TEMPO may belong.
- Provide services to students, including:
- printing "ronéos" (common note-taking and reprography system) for 2nd and 3rd years and of ECN documents (National classification exams) for external students;
- ordering medical equipment;
- organising tutoring for 1st year students.
- Organise campus life and in particular events aimed at bringing students together and entertaining them (parties, skiing...) and international exchanges giving our members the opportunity to study abroad (IFMSA).
The TEMPO is a member of ANEMF (National Association of French Medical Students), which gives students the right to vote and give their opinion on the evolution of medical education.
Arts and culture
iTIPS is an improvisation group created in 2005. Its objective is to promote theatrical improvisation techniques such as "letting go", spontaneity, repartee, etc. and to teach those techniques to students or external people from all horizons. The association frequently organises performances throughout the school year, during which all members have the opportunity to perform on stage.
The most popular events of the association are the improvisation competitions, during which a team of 4 to 6 players from another group comes to face one of our teams during the one and a half hour show. The competition is accompanied by musicians and a referee who will be in charge of giving the topics that will determine the improvisations and of ensuring the respect and kindness of both teams.
Improvisation "cabarets" are also regularly organised in building 399 (MaPS): no other group is invited, TIPS is the only one performing and the types of show that are performed can be very different from one cabaret to another.
