The Design Spot, the design centre of Université Paris-Saclay, is launching its first offer of short courses to initiate to design and its practices.
Developed by experts in design and engineering, three introduction mondules to start learning about design are now available to some 65,000 students, 300 research laboratories and all staff from Université Paris-Saclay. They include:
- a three-hour intensive course to discover the various disciplines and professions in the world of design
- a two-day workshop to test a creative project approach and learn to work with designers
- a tailor-made learning module adapted to the specific needs of schools and laboratories.
"These short, interactive courses are intended to encourage students and researchers in the Paris-Saclay ecosystem to integrate design into their development and research, because design humanizes technologies and gives them meaning by linking them to human needs. Bringing design and science together is about making our future more desirable," said Vincent Créance, Director of The Design Spot.
These courses taught by designers and innovation specialists renowned for their expertise in the fields of science and technology are free for all audiences within Université Paris-Saclay and do not require any prerequisites. They will soon be available to start-ups, large companies and R&D centers in the Paris-Saclay cluster.
