Yanlei Diao’s professional career
Graduate of the University of California (Berkley), Yanlei Diao worked for 10 years in the University of Massachusetts. Since 2015 she is a professor in École polytechnique and in Télécom ParisTech, and a CEDAR team member of the research center Inria Saclay. She leads a research team in the field of big data.
ERC grant holder:
Yanlei Diao has received an ERC (European Research Council) Consolidator Grant in 2016.
She was rewarded for her project Big Fast Data that has an innovative vision in terms of acceleration and optimization of analytical calculation for big data.

ERC Consolidator Grant: it aims for supporting researchers in their works of exploratory research. The total budget of this call for projects amounts to 575 million euros with the maximal contribution of 2 million euros for a project over a period of five years. The candidates should demonstrate the innovative and ambitious character of their project, as well as its feasibility, in accordance with the excellency criteria of the ERC.
