Laboratory presentation

The ecology laboratory, systematics and Evolution conducts research in ecology and evolution to study the biodiversity dynamics as well as the evolution and functioning of ecosystems. To do this, mathematical modeling is used as a tool of comprehension in addition to experiments and observations in situ. The study of the consequences of global changes, in particular climatic changes, on populations and ecosystems, has been studied from a genetic and phenotypic point of view in order to adapt public policies. The objective is to help provide decision-support tools to biodiversity and socio-agro-ecosystem managers. To carry out these studies, the laboratory has instrumental platforms in the forest (very large research infrastructure). The laboratory is in partnership with the Vinci chair on the study of vegetated roofs.
