Explain months or years of research work in 180 seconds, is it possible? This is the challenge for 15 students who will take part to the finale "My thesis in 180 seconds" of Université Paris-Saclay on 27th April at 18.30. The winner will have access to the national finale!
Please note: event held in French.
What does the competition consist in?
CNRS and Conférence des présidents d’université (CPU) are organizing for the 4th year throughout France the competition called "my thesis in 180 seconds". The MT 180 competition encourages PhD students to introduce to laypersons the subject of their research, in French and straightforward words. Each PhD student must present their thesis in 3 minutes, using one slide only!
Come and support our young finalists!
15 PhD students who passed a first selection will step on the stage during the Université Paris-Saclay finale on April 27th. From fundamental sciences to social and human sciences, from law to medicine... the diversity of Université Paris-Saclay's teaching program will be represented by the finalists.
No need to be an expert! The aim of the game is to explain a thesis in simple words. Our finalists thus do not hesitate to use metaphors, sometimes original and comic. The finale will be animated by Daniel Fiévet from the radio France Inter.
The winner of the finale will take part to the MT 180 national competition finale on 13th-14th June at Paris.
