For the fifth year in a row, the CNRS and the Conférence des présidents d’université (CPU) organize the "My Thesis in 180 Seconds" competition all over France.
The MT180 competition enables PhD students to present their research topic, in French and in simple terms, to a diverse and non-expert audience. Each PhD student must explain, in three minutes, his/her research project, in clear, concise and convincing words. All with the support of a single slide!
My thesis in 180s is the opportunity to:
- take up the challenge of clearly explaining one's research subject to a non-expert audience in 3 minutes
- learn to present a concept in a limited time (a training is planned before)
- interact with PhD students from other disciplines
- meet local companies
- win prizes (gift vouchers, t-shirts, books ...).
The Paris-Saclay finale is planned on March 22, 2018 at salle de la Terrasse, Gif-sur-Yvette. The event is open to anyone (please note that the event is in French).
The national finale will take place at Toulouse on June 13, 2018, and the international one in Swiss on September 27.
