The graduates from this M2 program have a double expertise in risk management and asset management, skills they can apply in banking, insurance and asset management. They master the basic concepts related to the measurement and management of risks, on the one hand, and asset management, on the other. The theoretical expertise is combined with operational skills including several computer programming (VBA, R , SAS, ...) and the implementation of quantitative methods used in risk and asset management.

The lessons in M2 GRA are a gateway between asset management and risk management (market risk, credit risk, operational risk) in the field of banking or insurance. The technical content makes it possible to make the link between financial engineering and the more transversal business lines of banking and insurance.
In addition to a solid general education in finance, the skills acquired include data management, statistics, financial econometrics and computer science. The courses offered in S3 and S4 are professionally oriented. Teachings take place from October to March and the work placement from April to November.
The Master Finance has had a trading room equipped with Reuters-Eikon computers. Students to acquire a Reuters practice and certification use this room.
An introduction to research it shared by the different courses of the mention, allows students who wish to continue their university studies and prepare a PhD in Economics or management sciences. Either in within the UEVE's Economics Laboratory (EPEE) or within the UPSud's Economics and Management Laboratory (RITM).

The Master's degree Risk and Asset Management allows you to pursue a doctorate in the fields of public debt, financial macroeconomics. These issues make it possible to integrate EPEE wich is in the Graduate School of Human and Social Sciences of Paris-Saclay College.
Students who have demonstrated potential to conduct research by actively attending the S3 Research Seminar elective course will be encouraged to participate in the various seminars organized by the laboratories related to the mention, or even invited to do a research internship in one of these laboratories. Professors from the mathematics department may supervise students wishing to develop thesis subjects with a deeper mathematical understanding.
A teacher-researcher to complete their dissertation supervises all Finance students. Each student is directs towards the most competent teacher according to the theme of his or her thesis.
