The eighth edition of the Université Paris-Saclay PhD Graduation Ceremony will be held on June 28, 2024, at CentraleSupélec

Every year, Université Paris-Saclay organizes a graduation ceremony in honor of its doctorates! The next one will bring together all the PhDs who have defended their thesis between January 1, 2023 and December 31, 2023, to honor them!

Docteur 2023: our next ceremony will be held on June 28, 2024, so block off this Friday.

WARNING: registrations are open until May 13 inclusive. Don't hesitate to check your emails and spam.

Participation to the PhD's graduation ceremony

  1. Eligibility
    To be eligible for the 2024 edition of the doctoral graduation ceremony, you must:
    - Have defended your thesis between January 1, 2023 and December 31, 2023
    - AND completed and validated your second deposit
    - AND applied for diploma production before May 31, 2024, using the ADUM form.
  2. Pre-registration
    You MUST pre-register with Adum
    This pre-registration is ESSENTIAL if you or your companions require a letter of invitation in order to obtain a VISA.
  3. Registration confirmation
    You MUST pre-register with Adum
    This pre-registration is ESSENTIAL if you or your companions require a letter of invitation in order to obtain a VISA.
  4. Invitation
    Your electronic invitations and those of up to two accompanying persons will be sent to you. Without them, it will be impossible to attend the ceremony.
    The date of dispatch has yet to be determined - you should receive them approximately 15 days before the ceremony.

These steps are necessary and mandatory to attend the 2023 doctoral graduation ceremony. Anyone not registered for the graduation ceremony will be refused access.

Program of the day

  • 1:45 pm: doctors are invited to introduce themselves
  • 3:00 pm: guests arrive
  • 3:45 pm: amphitheater doors close
  • 4:00 pm: ceremony begins
  • 7:30 pm: ceremony closes
        Followed by a festive cocktail reception

Follow the ceremony online

The ceremony will be record on videos and photos, used for the communication needs of the Université Paris-Saclay. Photos and videos will then be given to you.

  • Your registration and participation to the ceremony, for the doctors and the accompanying persons, mean that you accept the non-commercial transfer of image rights on any support and for any use in the above context.
  • We commit ourselves not to use any image of minors.

Access to the live

Usefull informations

  • To collect your diploma during the ceremony, you will need to bring an identity document
    No duplicates will be delivered
    No diploma will be delivered by derogation this day
  • For reception and logistical reasons, doctoral graduates cannot invite more than 2 people
  • Proper clothes are required (no sneakers, no winter boots, no hat)
  • The gown, the scarf and the cap are offered to you

Frequently asked questions

For organizational reasons, we cannot register you for the graduation ceremony if you have not registered before the application deadline.

  • The ceremony takes place at CentraleSupélec, in the Michelin Amphitheater of the Eiffel Building

  • Doctors must report to the site at 1:45 p.m.
  • Their guests are expected from 3 p.m.
  • The ceremony begins at 4:00 p.m. and the amphitheater doors close at 3:45 p.m.
  • The ceremony includes an intermission and closes at 7:30 p.m.
  • It is followed by a festive moment around a cocktail

The Michelin amphitheater has a capacity of 1,000 people. It is therefore not possible to present yourself accompanied by more than two people.

  • Three invitations (maximum) will be sent to doctors. One in their name(s), the other two (if applicable) in the names of their guests
  • Without an invitation, you will be denied access to the graduation ceremony

It is totally possible. 

  • The ceremony is long and takes place in the summer. The location may be noisy and hot. You will need to arrange for a chaperone to watch your children as the graduates and their guests will be separated.

We will follow the health protocol, according to the governmental measures. 

The doctoral graduation ceremony will be broadcast live and then on Youtube, in order to allow those unable to attend on site to attend. The link will be communicated on this page.

  • Your registration and participation in the ceremony, for doctors and accompanying persons, constitutes acceptance of the non-commercial transfer of image rights on any medium and for any use in the above context.
  • We promise not to use any images of minors.

Unfortunately, this is not possible. We can only provide a gown to the participants of the ceremony.

    You can complete the confirmation form by answering "no" to the participation question

You can still get your diploma through different procedures.
